The National Association of Wedding Chapels was formed to further the Wedding Chapel industry through networking, promotions and marketing. With our members effort, we will educate current and future wedding chapel owners and managers in the area of marketing; meanwhile set a standard for the wedding industry that focuses on ethical standards, professional behavior and working together to provide better services. With these efforts, we expect to see growth for individual wedding professionals and, therefore the industry as a whole.

Logo Usage:

As members of the National Association of Wedding Chapels, you are allowed to place the logo on your website and printed materials:

  • Show the logo proudly (It will represent Integrity, Dependability & Professionalism)

  • Link back to the NAOWC website using the logo to link from.

  • Remove the logo when your membership expires or becomes invalid.



Code of Ethics:

The National Association of Wedding Chapels and its members acknowledge the need to preserve and encourage fair and professional business practices. As a condition of membership, all members pledge to adhere to the following Code of Professional Ethics. As members of the National Association of Wedding Chapels, We shall:

  • Exhibit professional and ethical behavior.
  • Communicate completely with their customers regarding prices, what the service/product includes and what is in the contract.
  • If a dispute arises, settle it professionally and promptly.
  • Return phone calls to current as well as potential customers.
  • Treat other wedding professionals & Wedding Chapels with respect.
  • Assist in the advancement of the wedding chapel industry by helping to educate the public and potential wedding chapel owners.
  • Observe all laws and obtain any license(s) required by law for any businesses as well as your type of business.
  • Honor all agreements made with customers, suppliers and services provided to you.

  • The National Association of Wedding Chapels and its members acknowledge the need to preserve and encourage fair and professional business practices. As a condition of membership, all members pledge to adhere to the following Code of Professional Ethics:
  • I pledge myself to honesty and integrity, to pursue my profession and education so that service to my clients shall reflect the highest standards.

    I pledge myself to comply with the standards of NAOWC. I pledge myself to seek and maintain association with fellow NAOWC members and others who may become a part of my business and professional life in an honorable and cooperative manner.

    I know that my clients rely on my knowledge, experience and recommendations. I pledge not to betray the trust my clients place in me.

    I will accurately represent my qualifications and expertise in all communications.

    I will act and speak professionally so as to not offend or bring discredit to the weddings services profession.

    I will be committed to understanding my customer's needs.

    I will communicate clearly with my clients in layman's language what my prices are and what services are included. I will gladly answer questions about these things so that my client is comfortable with what has been ordered.

    I will maintain the trust of clients and respect the affairs of clients and NAOWC members who may share information in confidence.

    I will treat other wedding professionals with courtesy and dignity.

    I will provide services in those areas in which I am qualified to serve. When unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services, I will make every effort to recommend the services of a qualified NAOWC member.

    I will protect the public against fraud or unfair practices and shall attempt to disengage all practices which bring discredit to the profession.

    I will not be party to agreements which unfairly limit or restrain access to the marketplace by any other wedding professional, client or to the public, based on race, creed, color, sex, age, physical disability or country of origin.
